Our founder, Coach Larry Clark Sr., founded our non-profit Life Skills for Youth® (LSY) in 2007. Driven by a passion for youth mentorship and having two young sons of his own, Coach Clark wanted to provide a safe alternative in the community for children. The most important aspect of LSY is to be a support system for kids and their parents. LSY is a change agent that exposes children to the possibility of a brighter future through mentorship, resources, skills and location exposure outside of their own neighborhood.
Coach Clark and the LSY team have served over 3,800 kids, helped over 1,700 families and served well over 1,562,100 million healthy meals and snacks to kids in the community. Since 2007, high school seniors enrolled in LSY mentorship have a 99.99% graduation rate. The affected of LSY has impacted students and their families for a lifetime. Spreading this impact is important work. Coach Clark and his team are campaigning to build a Literacy and Technology Center to serve as the headquarters for LSY.
Support for LSY is support for the community. The success and livelihood of a community begins with each of its residents and their ability to serve others. Coach Clark and his team have grown LSY with a relationship based approach with each parent partner, making LSY feel more like a big family than a non-profit organization.
Coach Clark continues to serve as the Executive Director of LSY and resides in Little Rock Arkansas with his loving wife Mrs. Tammy Clark.
