More Than a Program. A Support System.

Since 2007, Life Skills for Youth® has created safe spaces for youth to learn, lead, and feel seen—because lasting change begins with relationships.

Our Home Base for Impact

LSY is located in a very spacious and modern facility provided at Temple Baptist Family Life Center, 10710 Interstate 30, in Little Rock, Arkansas 72209. The 14,022.58 square foot facility is equipped with a gym, game room, youth room, entertainment stage, 3 kitchen/serving areas, 10 classrooms and 2 offices.

The efficient facility has been approved by DHS to provide appropriate accommodations for two hundred seventy (270) youth. There is a well-maintained softball field, playground equipment, and a large, newly-paved 350 space parking lot next to the facility.

The LSY facility is readily accessible to the youth via Baseline Road, Interstate 30, and public and school bus routes. The facility is equipped with ramps and wide door openings at all entrances to ensure it is accessible for physically disabled persons. The facility meets all of the Quality Standards of having a safe and appropriate environment.

The students are tutored through one-on-one instruction to ensure a better understanding of each student’s learning capabilities and to help them overcome any learning deficiencies that may prevent the youth from reaching higher competency levels

Here at LSY, I see her growing as far as developing new relationships and new friendships. I see her definitely thriving academically as a result of the after-school program and they make sure the kids get their homework done.
– LSY Parent

Before LSY, my ten year old was very shy and needed improved social skills. She has completely come out of her shell since attending LSY. She can’t wait to go everyday and see all of her friends. They really care about the children and they actually teach them positive skills they need for school and for life.

Meet Coach Clark

Our founder, Coach Larry Clark Sr., established Life Skills for Youth® (LSY) in 2007, inspired by his passion for mentorship and his role as a father to two young sons. His vision was to create a safe, supportive space in the community where children could grow and succeed. At its core, LSY is a support system—for both kids and their parents—focused on opening doors to brighter futures through mentorship, resources, skill-building, and exposure beyond their neighborhoods.

Since its founding, Coach Clark and the LSY team have served over 3,800 youth, supported more than 1,700 families, and provided over 1.5 million healthy meals and snacks. LSY seniors maintain a 99.99% high school graduation rate, with life-changing impact felt by students and their families alike.

Today, Coach Clark and his team are campaigning to build a Literacy and Technology Center to serve as LSY’s headquarters and further expand their reach. With a relationship-based approach, LSY feels more like a family than a nonprofit—because support for LSY is support for the community.

Coach Clark continues to serve as Executive Director and lives in Little Rock, Arkansas with his wife, Mrs. Tammy Clark.
