Our Alumni Still Shine Like the Stars They Are

These stars keep shining because someone believed in them. Now they’re leading the way.

More than 99% of our LSY Alumni graduate high school and many go on to higher education.

LaBrian Phillips Jr. | Class of 2017

LaBrian Jr. is a proud LSY alumnus whose journey reflects resilience, growth, and a commitment to service. A longtime participant of Life Skills for Youth, he attended the program from middle school through high school and later returned to serve as a Life Skills Coach, mentoring younger students while still pursuing his degree.

After graduating from high school in 2017, LaBrian earned his Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration and Business Entrepreneurship from Arkansas Tech University. His time at LSY and in college shaped a strong foundation in leadership and customer service, which he brought into the professional world.

LaBrian launched his career in hospitality and quickly excelled in roles requiring both people skills and professionalism. Today, he works full-time as a Business Pro at Apple where he supports local businesses by providing tech solutions and personalized service.
“LSY helped me rebuild my voice after tragedy. Through mentorship, communication skills, and real relationships, I found strength, purpose, and my professional path.”

Tera | Class of 2017

Tera’s story with Life Skills for Youth is a true full-circle journey. After joining the program in middle school and staying involved through high school, she graduated from Central High School in 2017 with a strong foundation of character, confidence, and purpose.

Now, she’s returned—not as a student, but as a Life Skills Coach, mentoring the next generation just as she was once mentored. Her impact is deeply felt, and her passion for the youth she serves is undeniable.
“Going from attending to working at LSY is so new in the best way. I love my kids!”
